Breaking The Limitation
Breaking Restrictions and ancient limits set in your Life
Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
If we do not live in prosperity, it is not because God did not have a plan to prosper us, But there are limitations that we must remove…
Is there anything stopping the plan of God from being effective in your life?
You need to break every barrier and limitation that hinders the power of the Word of God to be effective.
John 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
ISAIAH 54
Future Glory of Zion
1“Sing, barren woman,
you who never bore a child;
burst into song, shout for joy,
you who were never in labor;
because more are the children of the desolate woman
than of her who has a husband,”
says the Lord.
2 “Enlarge the place of your tent,
stretch your tent curtains wide,
do not hold back;
lengthen your cords,
strengthen your stakes.
3 For you will spread out to the right and to the left;
your descendants will dispossess nations
and settle in their desolate cities.
4 “Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame.
Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.
You will forget the shame of your youth
and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.
17 no weapon forged against you will prevail,
and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
How Limitations Are Set
By what we see/hear and repeat to ourselves
Repeated story of defeat ultimately builds a limiting wall.
Saul replied, “You are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him; you are only a young man, and he has been a warrior from his youth.”
There will be many stories that will come to confirm what we have been hearing.
- What we fear will happen
4 “Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame.
Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.
HOW TO BREAK THE LIMITATIONS
- Speak and declare it – Sing
1“Sing, barren woman,
you who never bore a child;
burst into song, shout for joy,
you who were never in labor.
because more are the children of the desolate woman
than of her who has a husband,”
says the Lord.
17…. and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
To Refute: prove a statement or theory to be wrong or false; disprove.
prove that someone is wrong.
deny or contradict a statement or accusation.
David Speaks to Goliath,
1 Samuel 17:46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel.
- Enlarge the place of your tent
2 “Enlarge the place of your tent,
stretch your tent curtains wide,
do not hold back;
lengthen your cords,
strengthen your stakes.
- Do not fear/do not be afraid
“Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame.
Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated.
- Act – take a step of Faith
Samuel 17
48 As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him. 49 Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground.
50 So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him.
51 David ran and stood over him. He took hold of the Philistine’s sword and drew it from the sheath. After he killed him, he cut off his head with the sword.
When the Philistines saw that their hero was dead, they turned and ran. 52 Then the men of Israel and Judah surged forward with a shout and pursued the Philistines to the entrance of Gath[f] and to the gates of Ekron. Their dead were strewn along the Shaaraim road to Gath and Ekron.
The Barriers Exist in your minds, they are myths accepted as reality
See as soon as David killed Goliath, suddenly the barrier was broken.
